And just like that! The gifts are all unwrapped, the stockings are packed up, and the busy holiday season has officially come to an end. If you’re anything like us, you’re sad it’s over but equally ready to reset and prepare for the fresh new year ahead!
While we all dread these cold winter months, we’re trying to look on the bright side – it’s a fun season for fashion!! Sure there are less pumpkin spice colored sweaters or sequin dresses, but this time of year allows us to experiment with textures, layering, winter colors… and all of the things we got for Christmas 😜
Winter Outfit Inspo
To give you some winter outfit inspo, we put together 5 days of everyday winter outfits we think you’ll love! We had so much fun creating this Reel series on Instagram and know so many of you enjoyed it. Come back to this blog whenever you’re getting dressed and feeling the winter blahs. And don’t forget – spring is coming!!!

Day 1: Elevated Sweaters
These are our winter outfit ideas for a casual get together, dinner out, or an elevated daytime look:
- Statement sweater
- Jeans
- Low heel boot.
Simple and chic without being over the top! I am wearing an off-the-shoulder sweater from Abercrombie and some faux leather boot cut jeans from Pistola. The sweater comes in several different colors and is PERFECT for that friend’s birthday dinner out or a date night. I paired this outfit with my Nine West black booties from Kohl’s.
Julie is wearing a cute grey sweater from Kohl’s with a cool silver stripe detail. She paired the sweater with some Sonoma straight jeans and these Madewell kitten heel boots with a bit of shine. Will definitely be taking some inspo from this outfit for my next shopping trip. Love!

Day 2: Black Jeans
Can’t go wrong with a neutral sweater + black jeans! We’ve added interest to our winter outfits with PATTERN (leopard), TEXTURE (on the sweater and studs on shoes and belt), and stylish ACCESSORIES (jewelry, shoes, bags)!
Leopard is continuing to be a big trend for this half of the year! I love this one from Abercrombie. It’s a great weight and hangs nicely. I paired it with my Levi’s High Rise Straight Jeans from Kohl’s and some awesome and affordable loafers with gold detailing.
Julie’s sweater is from Splendid and is a FAV! Their sweaters are great quality and you can use our discount code JK20! She is wearing the same Levi’s jeans, a studded belt from Madewell, and some fun Rhinestone Mary Jane Flats. So cute!
Day 3: Red Sweaters
Yes, you can wear your red sweater after the holidays!! Let this vibrant color brighten up your winter wardrobe blahs!
Add jeans or cords, leopard or Chelsea boots, accessories and a stylish jacket to finish the look!! Red is such a trending color! We’re glad we can wear it past Christmas, through Valentine’s Day, and even into the spring!!
Julie’s sweater is from Loft. It’s super soft and has a nice brushed texture. She paired it with a trendy barn jacket from Abercrombie, some high-rise J. Crew jeans, and some black chelsea boots from Nordstrom!
My red sweater is from J. Crew and I love the cable knit design on this one with my off-white Levi’s cords from Kohl’s! Throw on a cute leopard print bootie and a camel coat and you’ve got a cute, comfortable, and easy outfit!!

Day 4: Easy Outfit Recipe
If you’re looking for a casual outfit formula that works every time: add a cute sweater or graphic sweatshirt, on trend denim, a cool sneaker like our Sambas, and a stylish jacket!
We’ve gotten so many comments about my heart sweater from Sezane – it’s definitely a favorite and perfect for Valentine’s Day! I’m also wearing a Levi’s faux-leather puffer that’s on a great sale right now, some ankle jeans, and some Adidas Sambas which are very on trend!
I love Julie’s outfit! She is wearing Loft flare jeans, a pretty royal blue sweater from Sezane, a black quilted jacket from Splendid, and some Adidas Sambas as well. Wearing a plain white tee under your sweaters is very trendy (and practical) – be sure to add that finishing touch! Here’s a blog on our favorite white tees.
Day 5: Today’s Trends
For our last winter outfit inspo pick in this series, we added a bit of trend!! We never want our casual outfits to be boring, and adding a few trendy pieces makes our outfits more fun!
We added trends like two-toned denim, bow details, faux leather, trousers and casual clogs to these every day outfits!
My bow sweater is from Amazon at a great price! I paired it with these awesome two-toned jeans from Rails, and some pointed-toe black boots from Franco Sarto.
Julie is wearing a black puffer vest from Amazon, our favorite comfy Mephisto clogs and some wide-leg black trousers from Kohl’s.
