what we’re loving right now

Spring is in the air and we’re loving the transition to lighter jackets and brighter tops. It’s also the time to get on track with cleaning projects! Being stuck at home is certainly helping with our to-do list! Keep scrolling to find out what we’re currently loving!

floral top, faux leather culottes, spring outfit

Faux leather culottes:

I love being able to take fall/winter wardrobe pieces into spring. These faux leather culottes transition well by adding a floral top (with black accents) and peep-toe booties. Peep-toe booties are perfect for our Seattle spring weather. If the weather is over 50 degrees and it’s not pouring rain, peep-toe booties let us show our pedicure without freezing our feet!

patterned jumpsuit, floral dress, wedding guest outfit

Floral jumpsuit:

This pretty, poppy print jumpsuit really caught my eye! I love the bright color, the print, and the little ruffle around the neck and arms. It looks so pretty with heels and dressy earrings, but it’s also cute dressed down with wedges and a denim jacket. This jumpsuit is going to be perfect for future social events after the quarantine! I can’t wait to wear it!

tie dye dress, spring dress, summer dress, midi dress, tank dress

Tie-dye dress:

This cute, casual tie-dye dress has really taken Instagram by storm! It comes in several colors and prints, and couldn’t be more affordable. It’s fun to have a day dress like this as an alternative to the usual pants/shorts/tee combo. We are also love Baubles & Bits jewelry. These gold statement earrings add so much style!

Goal Sheet:

Mid-quarantine our family was getting pretty lazy and developing some bad habits. We all met to fill out this goal sheet, and it has made a huge difference! It’s so helpful to re-focus in these main areas of life, and also to have some accountability. We’re not perfect, but striving toward these goals has helped us with our priorities and self-discipline!

Lightweight camo jacket:

Our Seattle spring temps can be on the chilly side, so I always have a jacket on hand. For casual outfits, I love to throw on a camo jacket. The pattern makes my outfit more interesting and it looks cool with a graphic tee and jeans outfit. Overall, it adds an edge to my outfit that I love!

pink eyelet top, sleeveless top, eyelet top, spring top, dressy top

Eyelet top:

I’m such a sucker for eyelet! Every time I see a little eyelet top, I ooh and ahh, and always want to put it in my cart! The moment I saw this one I knew it was for me–the bright color and sleeveless style was exactly what my closet was lacking, or that’s what I tell myself at least! It’s a hot selling item, and it was initially back ordered, but I felt it was worth the wait! Since it comes in four other colors, I may have to add another one to my closet! Currently considering the black…

joggers, athleta joggers, light joggers, high quality joggers, dressy joggers

Light-colored joggers:

Thought these were so nice, I bought them twice! I wanted a pair of nicer joggers that were lighter in color for spring. These were the winners, and eventually I grabbed another pair in black. That’s how much I love them! They’re a little more spendy than sweats, but it’s worth it–they don’t sag or pill and they even look great dressed up with heels! I have all sorts of plans to wear these year-round, in the house and out!

Hood filter cleaning:

Who likes to clean the greasy (and in my case, dripping!) filters in the hood above their cooktop? No one! It’s a chore I’d been putting off for months, but with all this time at home, I knew I had to make myself do it. I found the easiest hack!! Literally not a chore at all and the results were spectacular! Here you go:

  1. All you need is OxiClean and a sink to fill with boiling hot water.
  2. Bring water to boil in a large stockpot.
  3. Pour boiling water into sink. Add 1/4 cup OxiClean. Watch it sizzle!
  4. Put greasy, disgusting filter into sink. Let sit for 30 minutes.
  5. After 30 minutes, scrub lightly with a brush.
  6. Rinse and air dry. That’s it! The results will astound you.
