Fall always feels like the season where we’re supposed to get a whole new wardrobe! Between office days, dinners, and just wanting to look cute for fall outings, it can feel like you need a shopping spree every September! But let’s be real… that gets expensive fast!
This year, we wanted to prove that you don’t have to spend a ton to feel stylish! Krista and I put together some budget-friendly fall capsule wardrobe outfits that will take you right into winter and still be in style for years to come! Oh, and the best part? Every single piece is under $50! So if you’re building a budget capsule wardrobe for fall or just want to refresh your closet, these finds make it totally doable!
Easy & Affordable Fall Capsule Wardrobe Outfits
Cute & Casual Denim Looks
These are such easy, throw-on outfits that still look pulled together! Perfect for casual Fridays, get togethers, or weekend errands! A striped polo and a good eyelet blouse are classic capsule staples that will always stay in style – and you don’t have to spend more than $30 to get them!
For my outfit, I went with the No Boundaries Rugby Polo Top ($17). These are so trendy and cute right now! I’m especially obsessed with the green. It feels like such a staple piece. I paired it with the Sofia by Sofia Vergara Relaxed High Rise Straight Jeans ($25), which are so comfortable and versatile. The wash is perfect and the fit works with everything from sneakers to heels!
Krista styled the PRETTYGARDEN Eyelet Blouse ($32) in green, and we love how classy and expensive this top looks. It’s such a cute piece that can easily be dressed up or down. She wore it with the Scoop Benton Cuffed Ankle Jeans ($29). We love the distressed look and the raw hem on the cuff, plus the wash is another winner! Love them with Krista’s Nordstrom loafers from last year.
Work to Dinner Fits
This is one of my favorite budget capsule wardrobe outfit ideas because you can wear it straight from a meeting to dinner out! A chic blouse paired with affordable denim is polished, versatile, and completely budget-friendly!
For my outfit, I went with the Free Assembly Ruffle Trim Neck Top ($22). How cute is this for the office or classroom?! I paired it with the Scoop Mid Rise Barrel Leg Jeans ($17, sadly sold out) and added my clear heels that somehow go with everything.
Krista wore the Jessica Simpson Ruffle Sleeve Blouse ($25), and the print is so good. She styled it with the Sofia by Sofia Vergara Super High Rise Barrel Jeans ($26) and finished her outfit with strappy black sandal heels.
Versatile Fall Dresses
We’re both huge fans of dresses in a fall capsule wardrobe because they’re basically an entire outfit on their own! Both of these are under $50 and can be dressed up with boots or dressed down with sneakers – budget-friendly, stylish, and easy!
For my look, I wore the Sofia by Sofia Vergara Tie Back Wide Sleeve Dress ($32). Love the pops of color and the flower print! I styled it with a leather bomber jacket, grey heeled boots, and a cute handbag to pull everything together. Super cute for fall/winter style!
Krista went with the PRETTYGARDEN Maxi Dress ($41.59), which has the prettiest fit with that drop waist! She layered on a leather jacket and added leopard heels for a little extra pop. Great outfit for a night out!
Cozy Layers
This is the perfect example of how you can build a fall capsule wardrobe on a budget – just a few affordable layering pieces can give you so many different outfit options! A chunky cardigan or a puff sleeve dress are timeless styles that you’ll keep reaching for year after year!
For my look, I wore the Free Assembly Puff Sleeve Midi Dress in brown ($34). I added the Cropped No Boundaries Trucker Jacket ($20), such a steal, and finished the outfit with tall black boots!
Krista went with the Free Assembly Tiered Denim Mini Dress ($28) and layered on the PRETTYGARDEN Chunky Knit Brown Cardigan ($27). It’s so cozy and versatile! She finished her look with light brown knee-high boots.
