We’re not ready to turn in our skinnies, but a denim trend we were decidedly lukewarm on oh, maybe as recently as six months ago, is suddenly elbowing it’s way into our fashion-loving hearts! The latest denim trend we’re loving is long wide leg jeans! We gave them a try and now we realize why the wide leg denim trend is so popular! They’re slimming, elongating, and look fabulous with summer sandals and heels!

I recently did a try on in our insta stories of three brands of wide leg jeans, asking our followers which pair they preferred. This Reformation pair was the hands down winner! The length is perfect to wear with all of my 2-3 inch heels or wedges, and the width of the leg isn’t too wide. Wide leg jeans are high-waisted and very comfortable! This outfit with wide leg jeans paired with a cropped muscle tee makes me feel like one of the cool girls!

Previously, my long jeans styles were flared and boot cut. I wore them with heels for more of a date night look. This season I really wanted to find a new wide leg jean that I could wear with flats. This Banana Republic pair is absolutely perfect! The material is soft and flowy, and I love the frayed hem. These jeans are the right length with flat sandals, and I know I’ll get more use out of them in my denim outfit rotation!
