Sure, the trends change over the years but we bet you’ve always had a denim piece in your closet. Pants, Skirts, Jackets, Dresses – we’ve loved them all. Some new funky denim trends were hot in 2024 and continue into 2025.
In this blog, we’ll be sharing the denim trends we’re loving that we don’t think will go out of style. Plus, a lot of these styles are not only flattering, they are also AFFORDABLE! Most of these jeans are from Target and under $40!!! See below and let us know what denim trends you’re loving!
Cuff & Super Wide Leg
What Krista’s Wearing: Women’s Mid-Rise Cuffed 90’s Baggy Jeans (Target)
We’re seeing a huge cuffed jeans trend right now! Cuffed jeans are a trend that always come back in the cycle every few years, although the hem is dramatically longer this time which helps them get away from the beachy vibe we’re used to. These jeans look a bit more intentional and tailored, while still being laid back. Plus, they’re super easy to dress up or down!
Styling tip: We’re loving dressing up these jeans with a sandal or heel and think this will be a big spring fashion staple this year.
What Julie’s Wearing: Women’s High-Rise Sailor Wide Leg Ankle Jeans (Target)
Wide leg jeans picked up steam in 2024 and we don’t see it going away! These jeans are so much more comfortable than a skinnier jean which makes them perfect for the office, errands, or a long day out. We’re also seeing a lot of brands make these in almost the same material as a “jegging” if you want to even remember that trend… 😂 So comfy!
Styling tip: Wide leg jeans look great with a tighter top to balance out the width and give you more shape!
Leopard & Flare
What Krista’s Wearing: Women’s Mid-Rise Flare Jeans (Target)
Can you believe these jeans are only $28?!? We’re loving the wash of these jeans and the fact that flare jeans are making a comeback! These jeans are a bit wider than boot cut jeans and are great if super wide-leg jeans aren’t your cup of tea. They’re classic and fun and we’re glad they’re back!
Styling Tip: When wearing these jeans, try to wear a “pointier” shoe so they can peek out of the wide hem.
What Julie’s Wearing: Women’s Low-Rise Wide Leg Baggy Jeans (Target)
Leopard is here to stay in 2025! You know we’ve been loving this trend and incorporating it as much as possible. They add some texture without being too in your face. Plus, the baggy + wide leg fit of these makes them super comfortable.
Styling Tip: Don’t hesitate to get a little more creative when styling these jeans! Consider leopard a neutral that goes with everything! Throw on a funky colored sweater or some cool sneakers – you might be surprised to find that you like the maximalist look!
Black Denim & Straight Leg
What Krista’s Wearing: Women’s High-Rise Straight Ankle Jeans (Target)
You just can’t go wrong with a pair of straight leg jeans! If you’re not into the more baggy/wide leg trend we’ve seen over the past year and prefer a little more shape, these are cute, comfortable, and in style. The darker wash goes with everything and can easily be transitioned from day to night.
Styling Tip: Avoid sneakers with straight leg jeans. Instead go for a shoe that shows a little bit of your foot like a loafer or mule. This will help add some shape to your legs and make you look taller.
What Julie’s Wearing: Women’s Low-Rise Wide Leg Baggy Jeans (Target)
Black denim is one of our favorites to wear! We all know black is slimming, plus functionally it goes with just about anything. They’re also a great option for offices where blue jeans aren’t as common. These jeans are a low-rise baggy fit, which makes them super comfortable for being on-the-go or even playing with grandkids.
Styling Tip: Get creative with your shoe choice! Black is an easy neutral to pair with anything.
Slim Fit & Wide Leg
What Krista’s Wearing: Women’s Mid-Rise 80’s Slim Fit Jeans (Target)
If you’re looking for jeans with an even slimmer leg and a more mid-rise waist, these slim fit jeans from Target will be your new bestie! The raw hem on these jeans is a cute detail and makes it easy to dress these jeans up with some heels.
Styling Tip: Since these jeans are so slim, we like pairing them with a top with a wider hem like a baby doll top!
What Julie’s Wearing: Women’s Mid-Rise 90’s Baggy Jeans (Target)
LOVING these jeans! Their title is “90 Baggy Jeans” but we actually found these to be super fitting and flattering in all the right places! We also love this wash – it’s just dark enough to go from day to night. They may be some of our favorite in this haul!
Styling Tip: Flat shoes will make these jeans look a bit more baggy, so try a heeled bootie! As we transition to spring a lighter colored bootie would be super cute.

Zara Jeans
What Krista’s Wearing: Z1975 HIGH WAIST STRAIGHT LEG JEANS (Zara)
We couldn’t be more thrilled that we can now link Zara for you! Zara jeans have been a staple in our closet for years. They always have great styles and washes to choose from. These jeans are pretty similar to our target ones above, but are a little more high rise and have a bit more room in the leg. Similar to Target, these jeans are also affordable at under $50!
Styling Tip: Take these jeans from day to night and don’t be afraid to dress them up with some cute heels!
What Julie’s Wearing: HIGH RISE Z1975 FULL LENGTH WIDE LEG JEANS (Zara)
We’ve covered a lot of wide leg jeans in this blog, but these may be my favorite! I love the darker wash and the high waist. The dark wash gives them a more “dressy feel” and they have the perfect amount of bagginess without them looking “streetwear”.
Styling Tip: If you’re feeling like these jeans are visually heavy, try a tight top and wear your hair up to counterbalance!
