The invitation comes to go wine tasting with friends in beautiful Walla Walla, Washington, the weather is going to be warm, and you are going with some of your stylish girlfriends. Now, the question is, what am I going to wear?

Winery outfits create an opportunity to be creative with your outfit. The goal is to be dressy, but with a casual and slightly trendy vibe. You also want to make sure your outfit is comfortable for  sitting or standing, and you want your shoes to be stylish, yet comfortable for walking on different terrains. You also want the heel to be lower so you don’t trip or topple over, especially after visiting a few wineries!

Cute Winery Outfit

Group photo with cute outfits

Our first wine tasting was at the beautiful 7 Hills Winery, which was just down the block from where we stayed at the Marcus Whitman Hotel. Julie looks so trendy and cool in her crochet lace pants and her tie front white blouse. I’m wearing a sleeveless white denim dress with a fun frayed edge detail. Dawn’s dress is strapless and has a full skirt. We laughed because we looked like we had planned to be color coordinated, but it was a total accident! Julie and I knew that we weren’t going to be walking on grass or gravel, so I wore a wrap sandal and she wore a raffia sandal. We could have also dressed more casually, but we love to wear fun outfits on vacation that we don’t get to wear in our day to day lives!  A winery weekend is the perfect opportunity to have fun with styling!

Trendy shorts

Winery outfits: Shorts

Julie and I wanted to go with elevated and trendy shorts outfits for our longest day of wine tasting in Walla Walla (four wineries!) When I got this shorts outfit from Sezane, I had it in mind for wine tasting! This outfit incorporates the crochet trend in a colorful way, and I love these shorts in a unique mustard color. Nothing says “wine tasting” like a pretty top, and Julie’s Free People top is the prettiest neutral color with puff sleeves, lace, and trending front ties. She paired her top with her favorite Agolde denim shorts in white. We are both carrying woven neutral bags, and we’re in comfortable, low heels! We loved how our outfits looked different, but cohesive!

Cute Elevated Casual Looks

Winery Outfits: Black

While in Walla Walla, we had some content to create for the brand Soma. Our experience at Valdemar Estates winery was the perfect backdrop for our Soma wine tasting looks! I elevated my black romper by wearing a neutral wrap sandal with a studded belt and statement earrings. Julie’s palm print one shoulder dress is perfect for any vacation getaway, or even a guest at a wedding. It even has a built-in bra for added comfort!

Dinner Out

Dressy night out outfits

We love dressing up to go out to dinner! After a day of wine tasting, we cleaned up a bit and rallied for a wonderful dinner out at The Marc Restaurant at the Marcus Whitman Hotel. We chose summer dresses that weren’t super dressy, yet they were more elevated than a casual day dress. Julie’s Splendid linen maxi dress is so comfortable and flattering. My shift dress ties at the shoulders and has a pretty floral print. These were the perfect comfortable and cute dresses for eating a lovely meal with friends!

Winery Outfits: Cute White Outfits

On our last day in Walla Walla, we were finished wine tasting, so we opted for some shopping on Main Street before our long journey home. Julie wore a casual neutral dress with flat sandals that could have easily been a wine tasting dress or even a dinner out dress with a higher heel! I’m dressed a bit more casually in denim shorts and a pretty white blouse with lace and ruffle details. A pretty blouse and denim shorts is also an idea for a more casual wine tasting outfit, as well!

Cute shopping clothes

Winery outfits are fun because they can be as casual, elevated casual or as dressy as you want to be! It’s a chance to really get creative with your look, and also to incorporate a bit of trend. Wineries in Walla Walla can be in the beautiful countryside, in a more urban setting,  or with beautiful views and modern decor. Just like these scenes, your outfit can be feminine and romantic, urban or bohemian, or modern and chic. It’s really up to you! We hope our outfit choices for our winery getaway in Walla Walla provided some fashion inspo for your next weekend of fun winery outfits!
