Spring in Seattle always feels like a fresh start! The layers get lighter, the days get longer, and denim becomes the real star of our everyday outfits again. This season we’ve been reaching for breezy barrel legs, classic baggy fits, and (no surprise) a whole lot of Quince because comfortable, flattering, and affordable is kind of our trifecta!!
From polished everyday looks to easy casual outfits you can throw on and go, these are our favorite denim styles we’ve been wearing nonstop lately!
Breezy + Put Together
I am wearing the Reese 100% Cotton Barrel Leg Pull On Pants and these are a new find for me!! The last time I went to Anthropologie I found them and knew I couldn’t leave without them. I am obsessed with how breezy and fun they are while still looking super put together. You can dress them down with sneakers or sandals, or dress them up with booties. I paired them with my new favorite cardigan from Anthropologie and my favorite brown suede sock booties. It truly feels like spring in outfit form!!
Julie is wearing the Aritzia Denim Forum ’90s Marlo Hi-Rise Baggy Jean and we really love how classic this denim color is!! They’re called “baggy,” but we find they’re more fitted in the hips with a little extra room in the knees. They’re perfect if you want more definition than a straight jean but still want to stay comfortable. Julie styled them with a grey turtleneck, the Sanctuary Cuddle Up Cardigan that’s on sale right now, and of course finished the look with her silver shoes!!
Affordable + Flattering Favorites
In this look, we’re both wearing the Quince Bella Stretch Barrel Jeans and we are officially OBSESSED with Quince denim right now!! Only $50 for super comfortable, flattering jeans is a huge win. They come in so many classic styles and colors, and if you’re looking for affordable jeans that still feel high quality, Quince is where it’s at!!
I paired mine with a springy blouse from Tuckernuck and the Dolce Vita Arya Boots in dark brown suede.
Julie styled hers with a super cute burgundy Amazon sweater that’s under $30 (such a good find!!) and the Veronica Beard Kelby Bootie.
Throw a neutral tote over your shoulder and you’re ready to go!!
Straight Leg Staples We Keep Reaching For
For this last look, we’re both wearing Quince again, just in slightly different straight-leg styles and honestly… another home run!!
I’m wearing the Bella Stretch Straight Jeans which are super stretchy, super comfortable, and again only $50!! Need I say more?! I paired them with the Quince Mongolian Cashmere Oversized V-Neck Sweater that so many of you have been loving too, and threw on my sock booties from earlier. This has quickly become one of my go-to everyday outfits!!
Julie is wearing the Quince Luna Stretch Relaxed Straight Jeans and another total winner!! We love the slight wide-leg feel that still looks polished and effortless. She paired them with the Velvet Heart Jennevie Walnut Timber Sweater which is so cute for cooler spring days and finished the look with her trusty silver Mary Janes.
Denim really is the backbone of our spring wardrobes, and this year we’re all about comfortable fits that still feel elevated and easy to style.
