Happy Monday! Or should I say, “Happy Nordstrom Sale Public Access Day”! If you’ve been shopping the sale, you know it has been crazy this year! There have been so many great deals and so many items have sold out!
We’ve been shopping the sale for YEARS, so we know a thing or two about how Nordstrom typically maneuvers the high traffic. Now that EVERYONE can shop, here are our Nordstrom sale top tips for the rest of the sale and what we think you should have in your cart.
- Think Ahead For Fall/Winter
It is HOT outside, but fall is right around the corner! One tip about this sale is to always shop for fall/winter instead of summer. The Nordstrom Sale is super unique in that they are not selling last season’s products, they are selling NEXT season’s products! You can find great deals on pieces that just came out!

One of our top sellers and favorites of the sale is this Free People sweater! It comes in several colors and is the perfect piece you can throw on with a pair of jeans and go. Speaking of jeans, these black wide leg jeans from Good American are super cute and are almost fully stocked right now! If you’re looking for black jeans during the sale, these may be the ones. We paired this outfit with a black Kate Spade bag (over $100 off) and these black mules which are a best seller in the tan color right now!
- Don’t Forget Shoes
Another tip is don’t forget to shop for shoes during the sale! While fashion trends are often fleeting, shoes hang around for quite a bit longer and the pieces can be worn more frequently. We’re all about the CPW (Cost Per Wear)!

Metallic flats are one of the biggest trends right now! These are under $100 and are sure to go quickly! We’re also loving these booties for fall. The black ones are by Blondo and are a great budget option at $99.99. The tan booties are by Veronica Beard and are a bit on the pricier side, but Veronica Beard is not typically on this much of a sale! These black heeled sandals by Schutz are super cute and we’re loving these sneakers by rag & bone for a more casual look.

With the holiday season approaching, we use this sale to stock up for friends and family! You can never go wrong with giving the gift of a simple cozy piece, beauty products, or slippers.
