Greece Travel Outfits
I’m so excited for my upcoming trip to Greece! We’ll be seeing Athens and the Heart of Greece with a Rick Steves Tour followed by a relaxing stay in beautiful Santorini. Our trip is in September (I’ve been planning my outfits for months, lol), so the weather should be very sunny and warm! My goal is to pack for Greece using only a carry-on. I’ve done it before for trips to Italy and London, so I know it’s doable. Here are my Greece travel outfits!
What To Wear In Greece
The best way to save suitcase space and still feel stylish and cute on vacation is to pack dresses. I’m bringing casual dresses for touring around during the day, and a few nicer ones for nights out. I’m also making sure several of my day dresses can be dressed up with accessories or shoes for dinners or exploring after sunset. I also have a few shorts, skirts, and linen pants that I can mix and match to create tons of outfit options. Let’s dive in!
Cute Blue & White Outfits
Nothing says Greece like the color combination of blue and white! The bright whitewashed buildings and deep blue sea of the Greek islands are the perfect backdrop for these colors. This Farm Rio skirt paired with an off-the-shoulder Michael Stars gauze top feels breezy and classic — perfect for cobblestone streets, seaside lunches, and evenings in Santorini.
I also absolutely love this white gauze Splendid dress! It won’t wrinkle, and it doubles beautifully as a swimsuit cover-up for a spontaneous beach day. When you’re planning a trip to Greece, pack pieces like this that serve multiple purposes — they’ll save room in your suitcase and make getting dressed so easy.
The Best Sightseeing Dresses
We love the ease and style of Splendid! This crochet dress will be perfect for sightseeing in cities like Athens, where you’re exploring ancient ruins like the Acropolis or wandering through Plaka’s charming streets. The olive dress is another must-have — flowy, breathable, and ideal for the summer months when temperatures climb.
When visiting historic sites or walking long distances, I always recommend comfortable walking shoes. Greece’s cobblestone streets can be uneven, so leave the heels behind and go for flat sandals or cute white sneakers. And since the weather can cool slightly in the evenings, don’t forget a light jacket or denim layer to toss over your shoulders.
If you’re wondering what to wear in Greece, especially for touring, think lightweight fabrics, neutral colors, and comfortable silhouettes that won’t cling when it’s hot. My rule of thumb: choose breathable fabrics like cotton, gauze, or linen, and avoid anything too structured.

When we get to Santorini, we’ll celebrate my friend Sarah’s 50th birthday! I’m picturing wearing this white halter-style dress for her party. It’s elegant yet easy to wear, and the fit makes me feel like a million bucks! I’ll pair it with gold sandals and statement earrings for that effortless Greek island vibe.
For nights out on the islands, you can’t go wrong with white, cream, or soft neutral colors that reflect the glow of the sunset. Add a pop of red lipstick and a woven clutch, and you’re dinner-ready in minutes.
Versitile For Day/Night
This Abercrombie red dress with a cute racerback has been one of my favorite pieces all summer! I love it so much that I bought it in white, too. It’s comfortable, flattering, and works for both sightseeing and going out.
I don’t always love longer dresses on me, so a skirt and top combo often works better. This wrap skirt with a scarf hem is fun, flattering, and easy to dress up or down. I’ll wear it with sneakers for exploring or wedges for dinner.
When packing for Greece, versatility is key. Try to choose items that can transition easily from day to night — that way, you’ll look pulled together while still traveling light. If you’re island hopping, you’ll thank yourself for packing smart!
Cute & Casual
A big trend right now is the strapless top — or tube top. I found this black version and paired it with white linen shorts, which I’ll mix and match with other tops. Linen pants are another must for warm weather days when you want to stay cool but still look chic.
And this striped Amazon dress? Such a great find! The halter neckline and side tie make it super flattering, and the fabric packs well. I might wear it for a casual lunch by the water or while we island hop between Santorini and Paros. It’s one of those easy pieces that looks great with flip flops or dressier sandals.
Dinner Out Outfit
My final look is another white dress favorite! The denim fabric makes it a bit heavier, but I’ll try my best to fit it in my carry-on because it’s such a chic option for a night out. I plan to wear it for dinner with wedges and gold jewelry.

Since these photos were taken, I’ve added a few new pieces to my suitcase. I plan to lay everything out soon and practice fitting it all into my packing cubes and carry-on. I recently found a travel neck pillow that opens up so you can pack clothes inside it for extra space — genius!
