4 Easy Spring Outfit Formulas We’ve Been Wearing on Repeat

Spring outfits are officially on repeat over here and honestly, we’ve found ourselves reaching for the SAME few outfit formulas again and again lately. When we find combinations that feel easy, comfortable, flattering, and still look put together, we stick with them!!

This season we’re especially loving outfits that feel relaxed but still polished. Think flowy pants, easy tees, fun patterns, feminine tops, and accessories that make everything feel styled without trying too hard. We’ve also been really into mixing casual pieces with slightly elevated details so outfits still feel effortless while looking chic.

Today we’re sharing four of our go-to spring outfit formulas that we’ve both been wearing nonstop lately along with some styling tips and outfit details!

Flowy Pants & Casual Top

Found!! The perfect spring/summer pant! The Aritzia “The Lodge Pant.” They go with everything, you can dress them up or down, they come in several colors, and they don’t wrinkle!! Honestly what more could we ask for?

My gingham pair is actually a soft linen and also comes in a navy check as well as several solid colors, and Julie’s pair is a super flowy crepe. The legs are wide but not TOO wide and they’re so figure flattering! They somehow manage to feel relaxed while still looking really polished. Can you tell we LOVE them??

I wore mine with a denim shell top and a cute pendant necklace which added a little structure to balance out the flowy silhouette. Julie wore hers with a basic white tee and a grey sweater thrown over the shoulder which gave the whole outfit such an effortless vibe. Add some spring sandals and you’re good to go!!

This is definitely one of those outfit formulas that works for everything from errands to lunch to vacation nights.

Drawstring Pants & Elevated Tee

If you’ve been following us for awhile, you know we’re big Splendid fans! So when we got the chance to try their drawstring lounge denim, we jumped at the chance!

Mine are the cropped style in trending yellow and are SO soft!!! Julie is wearing the Gap Low Rise UltraSoft Easy ’90s Loose Stripe Jeans which have a super cute pinstripe and are also super comfy.

We both paired them with simple t-shirts and the accessories are a MUST! When styling baggier or loose fitting pants, we always think about the accessories so the outfit still feels polished and intentional instead of too casual.

Julie is really loving the Aritzia Interlock Cotton Barclay T-Shirt which has a fitted hem and adds a little structure. I’m wearing a simple oversized boxy white tee from COS which is one of those staples that goes with literally everything.

Add a chunky sandal, layered jewelry, or a cute bag and this becomes the easiest everyday spring outfit.

Patterned Pants & Neutral Top

This season it’s all about the fun pant!! Pick a pattern – stripes, floral, gingham, paisley… there are SO many colorful options right now and we’re fully embracing it.

We like to keep our tops more neutral and let the pants be the star of the show! It keeps the outfit feeling balanced and makes getting dressed so easy.

Julie is wearing the Adi Mid-Rise Clean-Hem Flare Pants by Pilcro with a black ruffle front blouse tank (sadly sold out, but I linked something similar) and some simple strappy sandals. These pants are a FAV! The subtle flare is super flattering and they make such a statement without feeling over the top.

I’m wearing my same Aritzia “The Lodge” Pants with a white muscle tee sweater and some of my favorite new accessories – chunky bangles and a stone pendant necklace! We both feel like accessories really make these outfits come together.

This is one of those outfit formulas that always looks like you tried harder than you actually did.

Flare Jeans & Floral Top

We always feel good in a floral top with jeans and a cool heel! Feminine & fun, it’s the easiest spring/summer date night or girls night outfit ever.

My silky top from Heartloom is so pretty and Julie’s is less than $30 from Amazon! We both styled these with light wash flared jeans which make our legs look super long and feel really flattering with a heel.

I’m wearing the By Anthropologie Studded Wood-Bottom Platform Sandals which have been such a big hit this year, and Julie is wearing her go-to Victorie Slide Sandals. Both add the perfect finishing touch to the outfit. And of course… chunky necklaces were a must!!

This outfit formula is probably one of our favorites because it always feels feminine, polished, and put together while still being comfortable enough to actually wear all night.

Lately we’ve really been leaning into simple outfit formulas that make getting dressed easier while still feeling stylish and put together. Whether it’s flowy pants, relaxed denim, fun patterns, or a floral top moment, these are the combinations we keep reaching for again and again this season!

We hope this gives you a little spring outfit inspiration and maybe helps you find a few new outfit formulas to try too!!

Talk soon!

Xoxo,
Julie & Krista
